Saturday, March 15 - Ice Skating Party - Cindy Fletcher Holden reserved the ice skating rink at the US Naval Academy for our use. Cindy paid thousands of dollars of her own money to rent the space so we helped her out with a $5 donation to help defray costs. The music was cranked up and we had the whole rink to slide into things. Showing up for this one automatically entered participants in a drawing to take lessons toward becoming a certified Zamboni operator under the tutelage of Lance Curran. The winner has not been announced yet.

Come Together Annapolis Festival—The YWCA and the City of Annapolis were partners in a celebration, fostering unity, called Come Together, Annapolis. It was the first annual event to stamp-out violence. There were community discussions and activities during the Week Without Violence, October 20-27, 2002. Come Together Annapolis concluded on Sunday, October 27th, with song and dance and activities that celebrated our cultural diversity, uniqueness and oneness. There was entertainment on two stages, affordable finger food, roving performers, and informative exhibits from community organizations. The City invited the community to this free festival at the Susan Campbell Park at City Dock.
