TugFest Once all the huffing and puffing of the tugs is over (at about 11:30 a.m.), the music really gets going and the fun goes on! The
2005 TugFest, which will occur on the Eastport side of the theatre of
war, promises to be bigger and better than ever. For the second year,
a Chili Cook-off, officially sanctioned by the Chili
Appreciation Society International, will
be held following the Tug, adding yet another fun and delicious aspect
to the TugFest, which already includes food and beverages from local
establishments, a silent auction, live music by local
Harbour
Deli, the Boatyard Bar & Grill, Red, Hot and Blue, and Ribs To Go
will provide nourishment. Moveable Mixtures, Fordham and Coors Light
will provide liquid sustenance and over 20 chili cooks participating
in the Chili Cook Off will provide tasty tidbits for your assessment,
sampling and adjudication. More information about that can be found
at the cookoff section website of the Chili
Appreciation Society International, On the Annapolis side, the Dreadnots will play steel drum music to warm up the crowd from 10 a.m. until all the tugs are over. Then everyone is invited to the Eastport side for the Tug Fest. The schedule in Eastport: 10:35 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - The Tiki Barbarians (between tugs and immediately following) 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. - Bens Bones 2:00 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. - Blue Thrill 3:30 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. - The Geckos And it's all FREE! |
