Day of the Tug—November 2, 2002
10:30 am

Tuggers begin to register on each side of the Gulf of Eastport by signing the waiver and providing their $20 entry fee, unless the sponsors of their teams have already paid their fees. (If you are on a sponsored team, you'll know.) Then tuggers each receive an official, Tug of War shirt. It's a badge of honor. Wear it proudly.

Other MRE and Tug of War merchandise, food and drink will be available for sale.
11:00 a.m.

Annapolis Harbor—AKA The Gulf of Eastport—is closed to boat traffic by the Coast Guard and the Harbormaster.

Local radio stations WNAV and WRNR will begin broadcasting Tug events with roving reporters on either side.

Tug organizers begin transporting the rope across the water from Eastport to Annapolis

TugFest will be held in Eastport, on Second Street and Spa Creek.

Everyone who participated in or watched the Tug is invited.

There will be live music by Caribbean Cocktail, food vendors, activities like face-painting for kids of all ages, the Big Vanilla Climbing Wall and...

at 3 p.m....The Tug of War Awards and Victory Celebrations!
Late November to Early December Funds collected and tabulated and awarded to the designated charities
