| Crowds registered
for the race and for dog day. |
Here's the
special edition dog day 2002 bandana. |
Ready at the
start line! |

Officer Daniels
stopped traffic for the race...

Chris Lore's
hotrod served as the pacecar...
| The members
of the Annapolis Yacht Club were kind enough to loan us their Ordnance
Officer to start the race with a bang! |
| And
they're off! |
Some
ran, some rode... |
some
walked...including new dad Dick Franyo with baby. |
| There
was a water stop at center span...after all, you can get very thirsty
in 11 seconds... |
and soon it
was all over... |
and it was
time to bring in the traffic cones... |

... and for
Laura Gamula to show the colors.
Pictured, right:
the AYC Ordnance Officer, MRE Premier (in-waiting, at the time)
Mike Raab, runners Phil Staller and Joe Shafran, with friend Andy
Terry peeking through from the back. |
| Then
it was time for the awards and the winners... |
First Place:
Tink Ruddle, 22 seconds |
Second Place:
Pernell Standt, 23 seconds |
Third
Place:
Michelle Ruegg, 48 seconds |
| Fourth
Place: Phil Staller, more than 48 seconds |
And
here's the trophy! Cindy said that if the race was only going to
last 22 seconds, that would be just about all the time she'd put
into the trophy... |
And
now, time for doggie activities...
And
a good day was had by all!
